Rhonda Renee Ross is a second generation entertainer, but was born into a 6th generation farming family. She is the first in her family to not grow up on a farm and fully understands the lack of education most city dwellers have when it comes to Agriculture and its producers. Her goal is getting the public educated and aware as to how vital Agriculture and Farmers are to our nation. She has first-hand knowledge of farming and city living, making her very effective in developing understandable agricultural programming. Rhonda is a world class entertainer performing world wide as part of the mother/daughter team of "Rice & Renee". Her experience in entertainment has led to numerous television performances including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and many agricultural events throughout the United States and Canada. She knows how to communicate to audiences and convey a message. While attending Iowa State University during the mid 80's, she watched how the family farm crisis affected her fellow students and wrote "Lost", the first poem ever printed in the "Iowa Agriculturist" magazine. Rhonda's goal is to spotlight local Ag production and the importance of the producers, the farmers. Using her agricultural roots with her entertainment knowledge she is continually developing professional programs to re-introduce the positive image of the American Farmer. |
